Beyond the burn: Creative ways to upcycle your candle jars.
We believe that beauty shouldn't have an expiration date. Your favourite fragrances from Yankee Candle®, WoodWick®, and Chesapeake Bay® bring so much warmth to your home — but the magic doesn't have to end when the wax does.
Beyond their signature scents, these stunning glass vessels are designed with a lasting elegance that deserves to stay on your shelves. From the iconic apothecary jars of Yankee Candle to the sleek, organic silhouettes of WoodWick, every container is a hidden gem waiting for its next chapter.
Why say goodbye when you can say hello to a chic new home accent? Transform your empty jars into:
Fresh Floral Displays: A perfect, crystal-clear vase for your morning blooms.
Artistic Organisation: An elegant way to house your brushes, desk essentials, or craft supplies.
Sustainable Style: A unique planter for herbs or greenery to brighten your windowsill.
Giving your vessels a second life is as simple as it is rewarding. Just clear away any remaining wax, and you have a brand-new piece of décor ready to enjoy all over again.
Simple Steps to a Sparkling Start
Freezer Method: Place the jar in the freezer until the wax has hardened and shrunk away from the vessel. After this the wax can then be easily popped out.
Hot Water Method: Carefully pour boiling water into the jar, the wax will melt and float to the top. Once cooled it then solidifies into a disc, which can be easily removed.
Scrape and wash: After the wax is removed, scoop out any remaining bits with a spoon. Wipe the inside with a paper towel and wash the jar thoroughly with hot, soapy water to remove any adhesive from the label and remaining residue.
A note on glass care: To keep your favourite vessels safe, avoid sudden temperature shocks. If you've used the freezer method, let the glass return to room temperature naturally before washing it with warm water. Similarly, if you're using the hot water method, ensure the water isn't boiling to prevent the glass from cracking.
Once clean, jars can be reused for storage.
