Festive homeware

Ho, ho, ho!

Festive homeware to set your Christmas table this festive season

Ho, Ho, ho! As we speak, Santa and his elves are busying away in their North Pole workshop, getting ready for the most wonderful season of all (or so the song goes…). So, while they’re busy making presents and packaging gifts, getting ready for Christmas morning, we thought we’d give you a helping hand with your very own festive preparations too.

That’s right, whether you’re leaving treats for Father Christmas by the fireside on 24th December, are hosting a festive feast on Christmas Day, or will be enjoying a quiet one with family and friends on Boxing Day to devour the lefts overs of turkey with trimmings, stuffing balls and pigs in blankets, then do we have the ultimate Christmas table setting blog for you…

Disney Britto Midas

A cup of something warm (along with snacks, of course!) for Santa:

With a touch of gold and a sprinkle of magic, Old Saint Nick is sure to love finding his hot cocoa and candy canes on Christmas Eve in one of our Disney Britto mugs from our super-special Midas Collection.

You see, this unique collection pairs one of the world’s best-loved family brands with highly sought-after contemporary artist - Romero Britto. An international pop art sensation, he has interpreted some of the world’s favourite Disney characters into fan-favourite pieces through his signature style. But now, for the first time ever, Britto is bringing splashes of gold to his bold pop-art designs, inspired by the ‘Midas Touch’. We think the glimmers of gold will sparkle and shine against the warm glow of the Christmas tree lights, ready for when Father Christmas comes shimmying down your chimney – it’s fabulously festive!

Check out this Mickey and Minnie Mouse Midas Mug by Disney Britto. Featuring Disney’s iconic duo, this mug will be the perfect piece to leave a cup of hot chocolate to warm Santa’s cockles after a chilly night delivering presents to all the girls and boys on his sleigh. Of course, if you’re not quite convinced you’ve made it onto Father Christmas’ nice list this year, you could channel your inner Experiment 626 and be like everyone’s favourite naughty blue alien from outer space. That’s right – why not leave Santa his drink along with some snacks in this oh-so naughty-but-nice Stitch Midas Mug by Disney Britto?

Raising a glass to Christmas Day:

Picture the scene: the presents have been opened, the turkey has been cooked, your loved ones are gathered around the table and you’re about to pull your first festive cracker. Sounds lovely, doesn’t it? There’s no other time of the year quite like Christmas and so we’re absolutely all about raising a glass to decking the halls, trimming the tree and enjoying all that the yuletide has to offer.

So, if you’re going to be setting the Christmas Day table for a festive feast this year, make sure you include a gorgeous wine glass from American artisan glassware artist, Lolita. We adore the Jingle Bell Hop Wine Glass. With its pine cones, sprigs of holly, and hanging silver bells, this glass will look gorgeous paired next to place settings in traditional shades of reds, greens and golds.

Or how about the Christmas Trees in the Snow Wine Glass? With its lovely winter wonderland vibe of bright green fern trees adorned with shimmering baubles and glittering accents, this glass captures the magical sparkle of Christmas spectacularly!

And don’t forget, each glass from Lolita is mouth-blown and hand-painted! Plus, the base of each glass is complete with a signature cocktail recipe for you to try, as recommended by Lolita herself. That’s why we just love these glasses at Christmastime (and all year through!). They make stunning table settings, lovely festive favours for your guests, and really help to get your party started with a spot of cocktail making and at-home mixology even the elves would be proud of!

Boxing Day Buffet:

We don’t know about you, but we love a good Boxing Day buffet. When the chaos of Christmas Day is over, there’s nothing better than enjoying a more chilled out vibe with family and friends (often in your PJs or comfy pants), spending quality time together while munching your way through Christmas Dinner left overs. Turkey and stuffing sandwiches, anyone?!

So, if you’re playing host-with-the-most this festive season, why not take a look at our tableware collection from Disney Home

Pieces across the new tableware collection are presented with a stylish mono design, seeing the iconic silhouette of Mickey Mouse presented in lovely shades of blue, as if created from the brush strokes of a water colour artist, the motif pattern is off-set against a cool off-white background. With items completed by a deep blue rim detailing, the whole collection has a super stylish and elevated look, sprinkled of course with that bit of Disney magic you know and love.

Included in the new collection and sure to make any tablescape look simply stunning is the Disney Mono Teapot, Disney Mono Teacup and Saucer (Set of 2), Disney Mono Mugs (Set of 2), Disney Mono Espresso Cup and Saucer (Set of 2), Disney Mono Cream Jug, Disney Mono Sugar Bowl – all ideal for a nice leisurely cup of tea or a strong shot of coffee to wake you up and get you going for ‘round two’ on Boxing Day.

There’s the Disney Mono Side Plates (Set of 2), too. They’re perfect for creating a stylish table setting for family and friends to enjoy a spot of festive afternoon tea, with slices of Christmas cake, left over sandwiches, cheese and crackers, picky bits, nibbles and a whole host of other goodies! Don’t forget, there’s also the coordinating placemats and coasters too, so you can create a truly magical Disney-inspired coordinated look in your home this Christmastime.

What’s more is that the tableware in the Disney Home collection is dishwasher safe (after all, who wants to be stuck on washing up duty when there are festivities to enjoy and celebrations to be had?!) and the side plates are microwaveable too, so you can warm up your leftovers and make cooking on Boxing Day an absolute breeze – no slaving over a hot stove for you!
