Since 1979, in Boyds, Maryland, when Gary and Tina Lowenthal created a 12-inch bear with movable joints for their son, Matthew, the inspiration was love. And since fashioning their first bear, Boyds Bears has been creating long-time friends that inspire dreams and make many treasured and special memories. Like the very first Boyds Bear; three adorable new additions feature movable joints!
After thirty-five years, Boyds Bears needed a little rest and went into hibernation. Now, ten years later they are stirring and just about fully awake from their nap — ready to celebrate their forty-fifth anniversary with renewed excitement and an adventurous spirit, they are trekking out of their cave and back into your hearts and homes — where they belong. Ready to give you an extra large bear hug – the Bubba Bears are the perfect size for snuggles!
